This 100% affordable project consists of two, 5-story over 1-level of podium buildings. 2880 Alum Rock will add much needed affordable housing to the community by demolishing an existing vacant commercial space and parking lot to make room for the mixed-use development with 164 units, 7,000 SF of commercial space, and parking. Amenities include bicycle racks for both residential and commercial spaces, as well as a roof deck. The design pays homage to traditional architectural rhythms by combining early modern architecture with clean and delineated shapes. The retail street front is highlighted by arches and rich material textures.
