The Chemehuevi Indian Tribe Development Master Plan is a visionary framework for sustainable growth, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment across 32,650 acres of tribal land along Lake Havasu. Designed by AO as master planner and landscape architect, the plan integrates housing, civic, educational, commercial, and recreational uses, all grounded in community priorities and environmental stewardship. Key components include residential villages, heritage and ceremonial zones, mixed-use economic hubs, healthcare and education facilities, and restored natural systems. AO’s landscape strategy introduces desert-adapted typologies that celebrate the tribe’s connection to the land. This long-term plan supports the Chemehuevi Tribe’s goals for self-sufficiency, cultural continuity, and improved quality of life for current and future generations.
