NoHo West transforms the underutilized site of a former Macy’s into a vibrant mixed-use lifestyle center, befitting one of San Fernando Valley’s most active commercial corridors. AO has designed two apartment buildings on the eastern edge of the site as part of the second phase. The apartment buildings have been carefully designed in stepped configurations, gracefully transitioning from five to three stories to mitigate the impact of the massing next to the adjacent single-family neighborhood and elementary school.

Both residential buildings include deck amenity spaces, one with an upper-level pool amenity deck with panoramic views of Los Angeles. Central to the retail section is an urban plaza and a large central park is planned in the residential section. Upon completion the 25-acre development will be a regional destination with key retailers such as Trader Joe’s, Nordstrom Rack, Regal Cinemas, and LA Fitness.
