30th Street

The 30th Street Apartment project is located in a vibrant core area of the North Park District. The area is characterized by an eclectic mix of small property single-family homes and single commercial buildings many converted into commercial retail. The design incorporates a plan arrangement that allows for building stepbacks along the major frontage, respecting the scale of the neighborhood. The streetscape frontage expresses a variety of uses with differing materials and frontage types to reflect the varied quality of the existing urban fabric. The overall design intent was to make a project that grows out of the neighborhood in an organic manner.
