Mr. Yen has over forty years of experience in architecture, working with a variety of building types. He is the president and founding partner of Richard Yen & Associates. He also was the founding partner of Pacific Associates Planners Architects (PAPA), a 120-person firm with offices in Jakarta, Indonesia, Singapore, and San Diego. Mr. Yen has received architectural awards for several projects. His firm, PAPA, was the National Endowment for the Arts Competition Winner for the Escondido City Hall. San Diego AIA Honor Awards for the Escondido City Hall, Richard Yen & Associates Offices, developed the historic documentation and re-location strategy to save SDG&E’s historic Station “A”, and integrate it in proximity to the original Power Plant site, where the San Diego Padres Baseball complex resides today.
