Ed Cadavona, NCARB, AIA
Managing Partner

“We embrace a collaborative process which leverages the strengths of each team member.”

Growing up in the Hawaiian Islands, Ed Cadavona didn’t think much of moving stateside to pursue a career in architecture. That all changed in high school when Ed became the State of Hawaii’s Architectural Drafting & Industrial Arts Fair Champion. The process of achieving this honor ignited a fire in him, propelling him forward in his career and encouraging him to be continually bold and innovative in his design solutions.

For the past thirty years, nineteen of which have been at AO, Ed has specialized in High-Density Residential, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Student, Affordable and Senior housing. As the lead designer for many of the firm’s Multifamily and Mixed-use projects, Ed offers clients an extensive mastery of wide variety of product types, from wrap projects to townhomes. His visionary prowess results in award-winning built environments which are sensitive to their context, full of inventive design solutions, and conceptually cohesive in site planning and building design.
