This infill project cultivates growth and breathes new life into a blighted city block. The three-story flat style residences feature transitional architecture that elevates the eclectic and historic style of the city’s past. It also establishes a strong, urban street presence by providing high visibility with new public sidewalks and street lighting to address safety issues. An entry promenade terminates into a 3-level vertical amenity jewel box consisting of a double height leasing and recreation facility with a litany of innovative features to attract a new generation of residents. Among them, a pub terrace featuring local craft brewery nights, comfy gaming hangouts, an indoor-outdoor fitness experience, a Maker’s room for creative outlet, and an expansive cabana lounge. The building opens onto an enormous, centralized garden with a pool deck, green spaces, fire pits, and outdoor barbeque areas. This project was about investing in the community and improving the quality of life for residents and neighbors alike, thus representing placemaking at its finest.
