Located in the heart of San Diego’s North Park District, AMP 30 is a mixed-use residential community designed to grow naturally from the character and energy of one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The development introduces 202 residential units and nearly 8,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, strengthening the district’s walkable urban fabric while contributing new housing and neighborhood-serving uses. Drawing inspiration from North Park’s eclectic mix of historic homes, local businesses, and repurposed commercial buildings, the architecture employs a variety of materials, storefront conditions, and building forms to create a rich pedestrian experience. Carefully articulated massing and strategic building stepbacks respect the surrounding scale and reinforce the project’s connection to the existing streetscape. Active ground-floor uses, shopkeeper spaces, and inviting community environments foster interaction between residents, visitors, and the broader neighborhood. Throughout the project, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces create opportunities for connection while supporting a contemporary residential lifestyle. By balancing increased density with thoughtful urban design, AMP 30 enhances the character of North Park and demonstrates how new development can contribute meaningfully to the identity and evolution of an established community.
